Our council will take action if someone parks across our dropped kerbs so long as we have registered said dropped kerb. ".... you need to be registered with the council as being associated with the relevant dropped kerb. You are then able to telephone the council about specific incidents and request that the council issues a PCN".
Trouble is that they work office hours and we have trouble with people blocking us in overnight and at the weekends so it's a bit of a toothless bulldog. I do leave a note and threaten to report them and it's sometimes effective. My immediate neighbours with whom I do not want to fall out, see it as an always available space for their visitors, particularly there two twenty something fit sons who park there to avoid walking 50 yards from further up the road.
There is a council out of hours phone number but I would put money on it that I would not find a traffic warden to be available on a Sunday morning at 7 when I want to go for a swim.
