That is not actually correct Trisher, one of them was particularly insulting to others.

"Alive & kicking" - Usual word is "mortuis" - dead - but an online Latin-English dictionary translates "discessis" as decamped.

My suspicion (expressed earlier) was that despite the apparent disingenuousness of the question in the original post, a big wooden spoon spoon ? featured.
It was bound to stir and should have ended as soon as the original question was answered. We are unlikely to know exactly Why? But so be it.
