Meghan's father and photographer in photo scam

I think this is completely ironic.

The Royal family had asked the press to respect the Markle family's privacy, but now it appears Mr. Markle has been involved in staging some photographic scoops of his own, despite being described as a 'recluse'

The Mail on Sunday exposed the story yesterday.

Apparently the photographer and Markle set up some exclusive shoots which were then sold to press agencies around the world.

It quickly became apparent though that the pictures were 'too perfect' and obviously staged, but not before the photographer involved had received a considerable amount of money. The paper has said it is not known if Mr. Markle received any payment, but if not, why on earth would he participate in such a thing?

The Royal family must be cringing.

And if anyone deserves to be called murky, several prominent members of the RF are way ahead in the queue and with no excuse at all

Anniebach Thu 17-May-18 13:43:19

Ann’s daughter has never worked has she ?

Alexa Thu 17-May-18 13:43:35

I look forward to seeing the Windsors rise above the challenge to accept real working class Americans. I bet they do so with aplomb. (What is 'aplomb' actually ? I have never in my life used that word before)

Anniebach Thu 17-May-18 13:45:38

What has Harry been busy doing? He holidayed in America, made several greet the public appearance with Megan

maryeliza54 Thu 17-May-18 13:47:50

And if you want murky here’s the utter swamp inhabited by air mikes Andy

maryeliza54 Thu 17-May-18 13:49:33

What working class Americans are the RF accepting with aplomb?

Anniebach Thu 17-May-18 14:03:18

Megan is a decendant of Jane Seymour so not a working class family.

Her 12th great grandmother was a second cousin to Jane Seymour

grin

maryeliza54 Thu 17-May-18 14:18:31

Tbf howevet, I certainly wouldn’t accept any member of the RF with aplomb or anything else for that matter - I’m very particular about the company I keep and I have standards to live upto and my reputation to protect ???

Chewbacca Thu 17-May-18 14:27:19

I think it’s really shitty to call him Murky Markle. So do I Maryeliza. It's almost as bad as saying "Harry is a stupid self obsessed fuckwit who hasn’t got the sense he was born with (not that that was much)" Now.... who was it that said that I wonder?

maryeliza54 Thu 17-May-18 14:45:44

But Harry’s a big privileged man with an army of flunkies to take care of him - Mr M isn’t so you really can’t compare the two at all - that’s just ridiculous.

notanan2 Thu 17-May-18 15:02:03

I thought Ann's daughter was a sports pro? its fancy posh work but still work.

I really cant get a handle on any of the smear campaigns on MrM, he hasnt done anything awful.

Whereas the middletons use of data collected sometimes illegally and definitely immorily by Bounty for their party supply company...and lack of help for bereaved parents who didnt want to keep recieving kids party supply catelogues every year, might better qualify as "murky"

notanan2 Thu 17-May-18 15:05:16

the press always try to spin a rags to riches story outta a royal wedding. They would love Markle to have a trash background but she doesnt. Just like how Kate was never an ordinary student and Diana was no lowely nanny

Anniebach Thu 17-May-18 15:33:32

Zara is a British equestrian, she does get sponsorship but that’s it.

notanan2 Thu 17-May-18 15:49:10

Thats still work! A lot of scientists are paid by sponsors.

JenniferEccles Thu 17-May-18 16:06:00

What strikes me about this wedding is the contrast of approaches by William and Harry.

William really got to know the Middletons before his wedding.
He visited them a lot and stayed with them I believe. This gave him a chance to see the background Kate came from, which of course is part and parcel of who we are.

Contrast that with Harry. What does he really know about Meghan? He has only met her mother (she of the Q and A session arranged with Oprah for sometime after the wedding). We know he hasn't met the father, or as far as I am aware, any other members of her family. Her half siblings haven't a good word to say about her, but they could well be jealous of her success of course.

Yes of course we can see that Harry is besotted with Meghan, but considering a lot of the romance was conducted long distance, just how much does he really know about the background of the woman he is bringing into the Royal family?

Now the father will presumably go back to his life in Mexico, and if Donald builds that wall, the man may never be seen again grin

gillybob Thu 17-May-18 16:16:54

Zara Phillips is a professional sportswoman. She has competed and done very well in the Olympic Games .

Prince Andrew is a waste of space as it seems, are his daughters.

gillybob Thu 17-May-18 16:18:46

I have nothing against Meghan or her family . My “murky” Markle was a cheap jibe, nothing more .

notanan2 Thu 17-May-18 16:23:20

Harry is also older than William was. He will have visited Kates family home because thats where she lived when not at uni. MM is more of an adult than Kate was when she met William so he will have visited her in her own place.

Anniebach Thu 17-May-18 16:33:56

Harry met her mother not her father .

Day6 Thu 17-May-18 16:45:52

The Markles have been called rednecks, trailer park trash and worse by various publications. Surely all this humiliation, of them and Meghan would have been avoided if for a start, Harry had spoken with and met his fiancee's father. I find it difficult to believe that any man would marry a woman he knew so little about, let alone a royal prince who has the eyes of the world on him.

He was to meet his FIL a day or so before the wedding if all had gone according to plan. Surely he knew the retired Mr Markle was slightly reclusive, and living in what's been described as a seedy, shabby town in Mexico. The equivalent to being beamed up and dropped in an English palace in front of the Queen with a young man, a Prince he hasn't met, who'll marry his daughter would have scared most 73 year old men.

The whole thing has been so badly managed. One wonders if Harry rushed into his engagement without the necessary meetings with the family of the woman he loved, or indeed if he had any knowledge of them. The whole seedy circus has hit the front pages all at once, in the week before the wedding which will be televised and seen around the world.

There will be very few people in the world who aren't aware now of the Markle's family tree. Meghan pretended they didn't exist, with disastrous consequences. The Middleton family was scrutinised before Kate married Will, so Harry must have appreciated his bride-to-be's background would be explored.

Harry doesn't come out of this very well. My sympathies lie with Mr Markle and I can understand why other members of his family spoke out when they were approached. They were snubbed. What do they have to lose?

maryeliza54 Thu 17-May-18 16:53:19

What on Earth is wrong with DM doing a q&a with Oprah? Really? It’s hardly as though she’s going to answer questions on H&Ms sex life is it? Just lay off them all and I agree with Day6 it’s been really badly handled

Neilspurgeon0 Thu 17-May-18 16:58:07

Did he not spend his cash on his operation? Hugely expensive, medical activity in the America’s

Anniebach Thu 17-May-18 17:02:58

I do agree Day6. I thought Harry was so wrong to tell the world she got on so well with his family they are the family she never had, I have always thought it wrong to exclude her entire family from wedding invitations. Her half brother and sister are his children too. Now she tells the world how much she cares for her father, if she cares for him why keep him and the man she is to marry apart.

maddyone Thu 17-May-18 17:19:08

Thank you ladies for helping to enlighten me re titles of the royal’s children, although I do find it all a bit confusing. I read somewhere about the ladies who marry into the royal family being outranked by ladies of royal birth, unless their husband is present, when (depending on the rank of their husband) they’re apparently not out ranked. Also all this curtsying to a royal who outranks you upon seeing them for the first time in a day. It all seems ridiculous to me.

JenniferEccles Thu 17-May-18 17:22:24

maryeliza54 Can you not see how tacky and in bad taste it is for Meghan's mother to do a Q and A with Oprah or any other interviewer for that matter?

Lets face it, Oprah is not going to want a 'oh it was all wonderful! My daughter looked beautiful and everything was perfect' type of interview is she?

She,( as any interviewer surely would) is going to try to extract some juicy gossipy snippets isn't she, otherwise the interview is going to be very boring and bland.
