I have a guest house and I don’t usually ask any guests to leave a review but I am always delighted when we get a good one and makes me feel happy that they have enjoyed their stay with us.
Luckily in the 11 years we have been in business we have only received a couple of bad ones and lots of really lovely ones.
We did once have some guests blackmail us by saying if we did not give give them a discount they would give us a dreadful write up on Tripadvisor so bad that would be disastrous for our business.
We didn’t give them a discount and they didn’t leave the bad review, but when they tried to book in again with us at a later date I said no they should go elsewhere as we had not been right for them. I was flabbergasted that they even thought of returning to us.
