Difficult for Buck House, they can’t put the announcement at the gate .
So it begins….. Streeting resigns
By special request, let’s discuss our favourite Classic Music and why?
Prince Harry said earlier in the week that social media is as addictive for kids as drugs and alcohol. They can be bullied and become anxious and depressed.
Instagram seems to be the worst apparently, although he didn't mention that by name.
However, AIBU to expect Harry and Meghan with all their virtue-signalling, to be less hypocritical? The Sussexes have just set up an Instagram account and already have over 3 million followers apparently !!! Is this not blatant hypocrisy?
Before this, Harry's topic was a climate change lecture to young people while he and Meghan zipped about in private jets for her baby shower and his trip back for Valentine's Day.
I have always been very fond of Harry but since he has become New Agey and got on various soapboxes, they both have had a marvellous chance to practise what they preach..... but are not doing it.
I'm disappointed in him.
Difficult for Buck House, they can’t put the announcement at the gate .
If they want the privileges which come with being a Windor , if they want to live in property owned by the country, they need to remember the many royalists who are waiting for news of the birth.
I am thankful we will be spared days of crowded pavements
Press and public waiting being on tv, but they need to remember it’s a two way relationship
Ahh as the song goes - For the times they are a changing-
Nowt wrong with that.
Bridgeit, They have made a formal announcement that there will be no announcement! I don't blame Meghan for wanting to avoid the media circus but formally announcing the birth is what the royals do.
Tradition!
Do we really believe that they are sitting at home scheming & plotting up ways to generate the maximum interest by stating that there will be no ‘disclosures ‘.
Why such negativity towards them? Why assume that there are ‘ulterior motives ‘ ?
Even if they could be bothered what would they gain from such behaviour ? I don’t get the suggestions being presented here ?
In exchange for deference, privilege, wealth and status a certain amount of privacy has to go.
I am not saying they should have a photocall after the birth or even release the arrangements for the birth, but a simple statement giving the sex of the baby and saying everything went well seems, to me, suitable.
You can't have all the benefits of being royal without giving something in return..
I was thinking on similar lines merlot.
They obviously have no problem taking tax payers money to help keep them in the lap of luxury, Courting the press when it suits, then expecting absolute privacy . They want their royal cake and eat it these two.
Must be merlot , seems they will not release news of the birth until they have ‘family time’,
Must be a celeb thing to make an announcement that you're not going to make an announcement.
They have announced they are not going to disclose anything about the birth and want time as a family. A sure way to draw attention from the press, keep them guessing .
They are entitled to do as they please after all PH isn't likely to be reigning over us. The fact that the Duchess is having a home birth does worry me. The only reason being she is an "elderly mother soon to have her first child" in my day that would have flagged up problems. But maybe midwifery and obstetrics have changed in the last few decades. I hope future mothers listen to their doctors and not the duchess. Having a party and a holiday pales into insignificance in comparison they are incredibly wealthy after all.
I don't like to criticise him or Megan. Being in the spotlight is bound to have all and sundry watching, waiting and judging them. They are privileged but still just a couple in a relationship. He wants to please her like all men who are relatively newly married. The shock will come when the baby is here and Megan puts baby first. I wish them longevity but personally I don't think it will last.
.....although I can’t find....
I don’t think the royals are paid by companies awarded the royal warrant, although I find any specific information one way or the other. I think the companies receiving the royal warrant will feel that this endorses their product sufficiently without the need to pay the royal family. In fact I was under the impression that the royals try to avoid aligning themselves to any business, I thought that was why Sophie had to give up her job shortly after marrying Edward.
I don’t accept Royal Warrents are up for sale
I think the royals are probably making money from almost everything they use. Of course M will have to have the same pram/buggy as the Clooneys .
Doubt the royals are interested in making money from Marmalade.
Very strange Callistemon , the press find out who their clothes designers are but nothing said by the Windsors.
I doubt Kate would get involved with advertising, she keeps strickly to the rules .
Then what are Royal warrants about ( as stupid as they are ). Probably means they get even more freebies. Plenty of product placement as well in return for a freebie.
The royals have never named any product they use .
No, this is very strange.
Where did this come from, George Cloony advertises coffee so into making money from advertising.
The royals have never named any product they use .
Read recently Megan wasn’t having the usual silver cross coach pram the Windsors have always used but one like the
Cloonys used.
My DD has bottle fed since day one ( for her own reasons ) . She was advised by the midwife that Aptamil is exactly the same milk as Cow and Gate ( same contents made in the same factory ) but C&W is slightly cheaper . She was also advised recently by the HV not to bother with follow on milk .
I can’t understand why baby milk is so expensive £8 + per box.
What a shame that the Cambridges and the Clooneys - and perhaps other "celebrities" - appear to be endorsing the use of follow-on milks (or perhaps these statements have been wrongly attributed to them. If so, I hope they put the record straight).
I think I'm right in saying that most experts in infant nutrition say that these follow-on products are unnecessary (and expensive) and sometimes inadvisable because of possible sugar content.
As with most companies, the manufacturers of these products care little for the wellbeing of children and their families, their sole motivation being making money. In order to make that money they use slick marketing practices to imply that their products are necessary for good child development. Parents are naturally very vulnerable to such a message - as has been seen in developing countries where formula milk was marketed, sometimes with dire consequences.
NotSpaghetti what is ‘news feed’ ?
That is advertising ,
Oh well if it was used by the Clooneys it must be good.
None of your cheap skate Cow and Gate for this lot. I wonder if it has powdered rose petals in it, so their poo is pink and sweet smelling.
