Most criminals are now armed !! Police officers aren't always aware that someone could be armed so their lives are in their hands when answering calls of criminal activity.

Luckyrose, it's true these criminals make people's lives a misery and you shouldn't have to live in fear.

I am usually ready to give people benefit of doubt and I used to be a nice person. I think this was past hatred coming out. We inadvertently bought a stolen car. Which was professional car thieves even a garage said well you did all the checks you could. After threatening to report him to th3 police My son aged 14 was followed home from school,kerb crawled by a couple of men I took it as a warning. So the car thieves got away with it left me out of pocket and fearful. Well this guy that was shot was a career criminal they said had never been prosecuted for gun crime or violence but was a car thief.

Don't worry about it Luckyrose, I often think on those lines . It's no surprise that officers get over-zealous.

It's a sign of the times when you become immune to crime and the police must be fed up to the back teeth of some of the lesser sentencing in some crimes particularly if the police have spent time chasing them up.

Then you get the other side of the coin were unlawful killing becomes a problem where police will never admit their mistake and one that rarely comes to light, unlike this case which has taken 5 years-------why ?
The worst being Jean Charles Menezes as he was running to escape the bombers on that day----not in the foot to halt him but in his head.

When I heard that the young lad that burgled my house had died through a bad batch of drugs I cried although the policeman said just what you said I thought that was an awful thing to say and was upset to hear it said even if he thought it he shouldn’t have said it to me
