Pouting &Tongues ??!

Some of those ladies look like fish with their lips so swollen. The tongue-out selfies seem obscene to me.

I know a young woman who had her lips enhanced last year, she was already very attractive and didn't have thin lips anyway....now she looks like a porn star.
She is slim, with a lovely face and long pretty hair, but she believes that she isn’t attractive at all.Those who regularly go down the fillers and botox and plastic surgery route are often those who least need to do it.

It's not a latest trend in fact a lot of young women are having it reversed.

I think when they stick their tongues out for selfies they do it for fun aspect if there’s a few of them, but the pouting they do it cos think they look sexier, that’s what I’ve been told, I wouldn’t know I don’t do it lol I was told and what I’ve gathered they tend to have their lips filled to feel more confident about themselves, I would imagine it’s the same for boob jobs etc etc

Some of these girls/women who have had lip fillers look truly awful. They just make me feel sad.

They will all regret their actions in a few year's time. Apparently the effects of pouting is actually worse than that of smoking with the lines around the mouth area.

I think it’s quite costly to have it done.
They also run the risk of it going badly wrong.
I think It’s quite a sad that they believe it to be attractive & are prepared to take the risk with their lovely young faces.

Some of the selfies look really horrible. I also dislike the trend for the 'scouse brow '

Were none of you foolish when you were young? Did you never do anything that led your parents generation to make the kind of remarks about us that we are making of todays youngsters?

If it's 'the latest trend' where have you been for the last ten years? I think the brows are attractive if they're not too heavy. They 'frame' the face nicely. I never liked the 'pencil line thin' ones. We moaned about spray tans and tattoos as well - especially if overdone!

It’s certainly an old trend pouts, eyebrows, tongues all been around for ages
I remember I had a favourite vest t shirt in army green with some famous American prison name on the front I loved this T-shirt for what reason I cannot imagine, but my poor Nan used to beg me not to wear it I think she thought people would think I d been in jail and I m ashamed to say it made not a jot of difference to me yes I carried on wearing it with pride

It’s the lips I find most troubling , because these young people are putting themselves through a medical procedure which is unnecessary & carries health risks .

It's not a 'trend' anymore.

It’s the using of fillers & the like that I find troubling, I think it’s sad that they are willing to put themselves through a potential risky procedure .

I only know one person she’s young to me (in her 40s) who’s had her lips done and they look awful not level, there’s a woman in a shop in town had hers done but I don’t know any young people who ve had their lips done and I m around late teens early twenties a lot perhaps it doesn’t happen so much out the city (poorer folk)
However all the youngsters do the pout for photos which look equally bad but hey ho they think it looks good bless em

I wonder what the Suffergettes would think about this & other trends , they may well be pleased that women can have & do what they like in this respect, but I personally think they would be a little disappointed.

I agree it’s unnecessary.
Most looks can be achieved with good cosmetics.

I find breast enhancement more troubling.
So many women have lost breasts to cancer yet young girls will have surgery for their 18th birthday present!

I get that in rare cases very small or large breasts can cause real anxieties in young girls.

I’m so thankful that at 56 I’ve still got two healthy boobs.

Haven't women always been encouraged to think they needed 'enhancing'?

To wear this corset and stay in fashion, women had their lower ribs broken or removed.

Ohhh , Ouch , The price of vanity or perceived perfection !

It is just the 'young trendy' thing to so. We just smiled nicely when we were young!

We went to a restaurant lately. All the waitresses had trout pout lips and eyebrows like fat black slugs. DGS ( 6) asked where those people came from !!!
