I'd love a tattoo but at the tender age of 73 I don't know if I'd be able to suit one. My son Sherman thinks it is an awful idea for me to get a tattoo but I can't help feeling like I'm missing out. What are your opinions on tattoos? Should I go for it?

Get a tattoo, i got a tattoo of my grandsons names on my wrist last year. I'm nearly 65 and dont regret it. I wanted something permanent. I'm thinking of having another one.
On meeting for the first time, the young woman who keeps me, and my house, in order, I thought wearing a rather colourful lace blouse. It took some weeks for me to workout the lace blouse was in fact tattoos the length of her arms. Knowing my aversion to tattoos, my family found it very funny.
Ethel - with reference to Sherman being cockney rhyming slang for pleasuring oneself, I was reminded of others that you may want to consider. Lamb shank - I find this difficult, as I am a life long vegetarian, but MrC does love a LS. I do them in the microwave. See also Barclays - This was Kenneth Williams' favourite term for onanism. HTH
