I'm probably in a minority (of one?) in that I don't really mind him. Yes, he can a bit of a pillock, and no I don't agree with him on issues 90 plus % of the time. I did think he was pretty good on calling out Govt in the first lockdown, and also calling out Trump during the pandemic last year - it made up a bit for that truly awful a...e licking interview he did with Trump some years back.
I've never watched GMB since Richard and Judy left. All I read about that lot who present the programme is that they are a self-satisfying bunch of attention-seekers and that, I can't stand.
I've never watched him barraging interviewing anyone.
Do I think he was wrong for what he said? No. Trisha Goddard said if you get a dog because you know it will bite there's no point in complaining when it does.
ITV knew what he was like when they employed him and IMO saying on TV that you don't believe a word that comes out of someone's mouth, is not as bad as attempting to tarnish an entire family as racist.
I think his MO must be to court controversy. It pushes up ratings. The fact that some of us don’t watch him matters not a jot. He’s popular. Look at how many people tune into Jeremy Kyle (or did I’m not sure if it is still on). My aunt 80y used to love it every morning. I stayed with her once for 4 nights and my toes would be curling with embarrassment!
Piers Morgan says it how he finds it. That’s allowed, free speech and all.
I think a lot of people are tired of what they perceive as ‘wokeism’ hence they like him.
