Designer clothes

I have a dressing gown that is so very beautiful, it’s a georgette fabric in rich colours, with puffed sleeves and deep cuffs in a wrap style.
It took me months to find it, when it arrived from Paris exquisitely packaged, I was beyond excited.
It was made by someone called Lavinia who had a small online business, she now works for a fashion house.
It was more than I had hoped for.
I always feel like a Goddess in it.
My daughter has had her eye on it for years but she’s out of luck as it will be my “ leaving party” outfit.
Best £75 I ever spent.

You're right, it's all about the packaging and I used to love the days of watching the sales assistant carefully wrap the garments in tissue paper, then placing them in a box with a ribbon. (A bit like Rowan Atkinson with the necklace in Love Actually!)

PS nowadays the garments just get stuffed in my bag with the carrots and broccoli, but saving the planet with no unnecessary packaging is good!

Lounging and shivering in a floaty beach dress, covering a multitude of sins apart from bingo wings and bone white legs. Yes it's a Brit abroad. Waiting for the sun to come over to our corner. There must be some overweight goddesses somewhere in history.

Oh dear! I meant twenty years not two!. Silly me.

I have just come in from the garden wearing my standard Garden Goddess outfit. Ancient canvas jacket with frayed cuffs, ancient LE trousers, purple clogs. And looking like I’ve been pulled through a hedge backwards with hair escaping from ancient clip. Tres chic.
