AIBU - To feel a tad disappointed

I have been a GN member for about two years now, although I am not a regular poster, I have been posting mostly at weekends only.
Recently I returned from being abroad for two months and decided to write a post on Sunday last on the Good morning thread.
However, I was left feeling rather disappointed that not even one poster wrote a "welcome back " or "nice to see you posting again" message.
I just felt I was completely ignored and to be honest don't think I'll bother to post on the Good morning thread again.
If a topic of a thread interests me I'll post if I feel like it.
Tha ks for listening.
Over and out.

I hardly ever get a response on the Good morning thread and post regularly. However I’m a late morning poster being a night owl, so don’t expect it.
The early birds start posting at 5 - 6 so obviously get reactions. Maybe if you post then you will be noticed!
I’m intrigued by the early posters, they must go to bed at 9.30?

I do read your posts hollysteers but not until the late afternoon, when I pop back in for a catchup. That’s why I don’t comment on them, but I will today!

Maydonoz I do recognise your name and I did notice you posting. I often register events and forget names, my short term memory is crap as a result of my brain injury, it takes me a while to get used to who is who. My left shoulder is weak and unstable due also to the brain injury, I’m right handed too, which is very fortunate as I can’t use my left hand. I hope your shoulder is recovering.

Hollysteers, some of we early posters, don't sleep well, hence the late night posts or very early ones.
I tend to go back to read all the posts, later on in the day and sometimes it seems too late to comment.

I have never even looked at Good morning threads. I tend to go for the problem ones.

I once looked on the Good Morning thread but it seemed like a club where I felt like an outsider so I-have never posted there.Often when I post on other threads, my timing is wrong and I realise I have “ interrupted” a flow of conversation so I don’t get a response. It is not unusual to be unnoticed, so don’t take it personally. Most of us don’t really notice people’s names, though a few stand out as being somewhat dogmatic.

We were all new members of that club once. You cannot expect every member to acknowledge everyone's post. We would be here all day, if we did. No-one is being deliberately ignored.
It's the nature of the thread.

I'm with Esspee. Don't 'know' anyone on here from Adam nor they me. Wouldn't for one minute expect anyone to either miss me or welcome me back. Often amazes me that some posters can remember things that particular posters wrote months before. I'm lucky if I can remember yesterday. I regard it as a very congenial and usually pleasant place to visit but certainly not important in the grand scheme of things. I daresay the lonlier of us might find it an absolute haven and that's great. Long may it continue.
