Mine isn't.

It’s a well known fact that most if not almost all men are utterly useless in a domestic setting.

Grandma70s

Iam64 says it for me. Grown men who can’t shop? What did they do before they married? Did they always live with their mothers? I think some women, including mothers, like men to be helpless in order to feel useful.

You sum it up very well.

That was the problem, there were Gala & Royal Gala so he wasn't sure which to buy (local Aldi).

I haven’t cooked or food shopped for 20 years but I think I could find my way round a supermarket if I had to.

Toscalily to be fair I think Gala apples have finished at present!

I was only having a moan because I am stuck in bed not feeling well and I don't pander to him, and I don't appreciate the sarky comments.

I’d be mortified if mr i or my sons in law couldn’t do a weekly or nip in and get something for tea shop.
These men are fully grown, they managed employment why is shopping beyond them? Even more of a question, why do women pander to it

I think my DH would shop OK if he had to. Having him come with me to the supermarket is pleasant in a way - and he helps me to remember things - but he's so slow wandering round with the trolley it drives me up the wall!

He is still out, fortunately! but would you believe he has phoned me twice, first about the apples, I told him Gala, before he left, then yogurt.

Count F comes with me every week. Whilst yours truly shops for essentials such as fruit, vegetables, meat, joghurt etc. HE loads the trolley with crisps, chocolate, peanuts and wine if it is on special offer. Whilst I have no objection to the latter, the former are definitely unnecessary grin

Have you tried Click and Collect. You order online and he picks it up. Men seem to prefer this to finding their way around Supermarkets.

Mr. B does nearly all of our shopping, though I have to write him a list grin

I was due to go away and had the fridge/freezer well stocked with the things OH will eat. He dislikes/rarely goes shopping, in and out of the shop at lightening speed to get it over and done with as soon as possible. Unfortunately I have been taken ill and unable to go so he now has to get a few perishables. I have had to explain, which isle, which side precisely where, what & how. You would think he was planning a world tour not a shopping list. I'm feeling annoyed & grouchy, if I had gone away he would have had to sort it out for himself as he has done in the past.
