What current day words drive you up the wall?

"Excuse me" when it is used not in the polite form but as a way of butting in

Woke and wokery describes very well the ridiculous nonsense that appears these days such as:
York Dungeon was asked to change the name of its Dick Turpin carriage ride to 'Richard' because some woke parents found it offensive.
I think wokery is absolutely the right word for such idiocy.
They refused by the way.

Baby steps can be useful when describing any long process or journey which has to be undertaken slowly bit by bit. It's a lot shorter for a start!

Going forward, my bad and can I get? are particular hates of mine. A lot of the words people are hating are ones that don't really bother me at all (am I broad minded or just lazy?) I have found the expression Baby steps very useful when talking to people in a cancer support group. It describes the recovery process very well.

Super good or super easy instead of very, drives me mad and seeems to be increasing in use! Drives me mad.

Anyone who tells me ‘amazing’ following a normal day to day interaction, such as paying for something. Also ‘can I get’. Completely wrong!!

Virtually all of the above, plus kilometre with the stress on the second syllable, as in gasometer. Nobody pronounces millimetre or centimetre like this.

But I happy with jab for vaccination.

People who say things without sincerity. My boss for example regularly tells me 'that's amazing' but his eyes are dead and I'm sure he has read it in a 'how to motivate your staff' management book

The use of "loving" eg I'm loving this and loving that! People starting an answer with "So" when they have been asked a question. That is very common on the radio.
