We are currently in the throes of a similar untruth to my granddaughter.
She's not a great eater, but does love a Sunday roast. But she is adamant she doesn't like lamb.
So we have convinced her that what she's eating is a very rare brown chicken, that is only bred in Scotland, is very expensive, and only certain licenced butchers are allowed to sell it. And that's why we don't have it very often.
She clears the plate, needless to say
. She did give me a bit of a look one day, and said "if I find out this is lamb, I won't be happy"
