Let’s just brush it under the carpet and hope it goes away.

A village outside our City has had a case of four men trying to abduct children, the Police were warned of this numerous times apparently, a local shopkeeper observed these men more than once and called 999.

The men got brave and tried to bundle a 9 year old girl into their car.
Thankfully a member of the public intervened.

These men are allegedly residing at an hotel locally with lots of other men.

They were arrested for the attempted abduction of 5 minors.
They have been released on conditional bail.

As they have no ID, no traceability and nothing to lose it’s very likely they will just disappear into the ether.

This has not been widely reported and apparently local people are furious.

Last year a local university hall of residence was used as accommodation for immigrants, local opposition was strong but it went ahead, a young girl was sexually assaulted, there was one news report and then it went quiet.

The men were all moved on.
No explanation……..just all gone.

Is this a common theme across the UK?

Why are we not allowed to talk about this?

Will our new government offer some transparency or will this just continue to be brushed under the carpet?

This was reported by the BBC on 27th June so obviously not some "secret".
The police asked for witnesses/more info.

If this is true and not an X thing against immigrants it must be taken very, very seriously. It’s terrifying and they must be caught and immediately deported.

GB News not being as big as other stations have more leeway for smaller stories.

Adam Brooks is an excellent campaigner for the safety of women and children.

Leeway to encourage vigilantes! This is tittle tattle and I just hope that no innocent person comes to any harm. For all their faults, I'd rather the police dealt with this kind of incident.

I have not encouraged vigilantes

What is wrong with investigative journalism?

As for tittle tattle

OurKid1 Tue 09-Jul-24 17:23:16

Am I missing something here? How do you know it's people from the immigrant community? Presumably the Police have done their investigations and don't have enough evidence to keep them in custody.

My father and his family endured comments, opinions, bigotry, abuse and worse in Germany in the 1930s.
Only then it was Jews to blame.

It isn’t tittle tattle it’s been reported, police have arrested and bailed the men and are investigating.
Having said that, we know nothing about the men except they were in a car and are all four in their 30’s.

Thank you!

Watch this the UK doesn't give statistics on nationalities that commit crimes but Denmark and Sweden do, its an eye opener, although not an eye opener for me.

Alex Phillips is wonderfully outspoken. What a change from the normal blah blah blah about how we need migrants, let them all come etc. So many true crime statistics are hidden from us, presumably the MSM is not allowed to tell us certain things, but here she tells us the stark truth.

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 09-Jul-24 15:43:28

Sago, if it is, indeed, a police matter, then they can act only on evidence.
I expect that neither you nor I would want to live in a country where people are arrested on " common knowledge " rather than verifiable facts.

There were reports in many news outlets last year of hundreds of child asylum seekers being 'abducted' or who have gone missing since arriving hers and being put into a hotel. These children were mostly teenage Albanian boys.
Some have returned.

Labour's Yvette Cooper accused ministers of a "dereliction of duty".

Let's hope, now she is in Government, she will be in a position to do something about this.

This sounds like malicious tittle tattle, and the number of people on here telling OP to report it to GB news backs up my suspicion. What has it to do with GB news, are they a militia now? Or is it just the perfect report for them to convince their Reform base that they made the right decision in voting for them?

Having said that, I agree it is unacceptable for groups of idle young men to be hanging about with nothing to do, perhaps with different cultural norms, but that is a subject for a different thread.

There is nothing in the report by the Independent which hints at the men being asylum seekers. I wouldn’t give credence to opinions on FB or X. Like growstuff I don’t see how asylum seekers would have access to a car.

No there is nothing in the report to say they are asylum seekers.
It is however common knowledge that they are!
I know this currently cannot be proven but I have it on very good authority (not twitter ) that this is the case.

TerriBull Tue 09-Jul-24 13:31:29

Maybe there is a case for ID cards hmm

We can expect many more illegal migrants entering our country now that Labour is in power!!

Sarnia Tue 09-Jul-24 12:44:08

That's what concerns me about so many single men coming to our country. Too many of their cultures do not value or respect women. To them females are second best and only good for cleaning, cooking, sex and bringing up the children. Their women are often covered from head to toe but then they arrive in a country such as the UK to see so many of our young girls leaving very little to the imagination with the clothes they wear. The origins of the grooming gangs were Asian and Middle Eastern. For me, the safety of women is at an all-time low. It is very concerning.

BigMamma Tue 09-Jul-24 12:39:04

It is diabolical. Why release them when they have no place of abode, like you say, they vanish into thin air. Also, why do newspapers blur out the faces of people who have actually been seen causing problems, stealing or attacking someone and even running away after having a meal at a restaurant. Show their faces, name and shame them. It would make finding them a lot easier.

It will all be brushed under the carpet especially now Vyette Cooper is in charge of immigration and people wonder why thousands and thousands of people are turning to Reform it's because no other party gives a dam.

Have you checked the veracity of this with anyone? If it is true, it bears investigation.
However, on a few occasions in my career, I was contacted by an anxious parent regarding a story about a local attempted abduction.
In every case, these were untrue.

So who are these men in a local hotel with access to a car? Sorry, but something doesn't add up here.

I’m sure if they came here on a dinghy or the back of a lorry and were organising themselves to abduct a child then procuring a car would not be beyond them.
