I've been looking for some small 5ooml plastic bottles to freeze some milk in, as I find I want some of it to keep a little longer. Particularly squat bottles, as I can't stand up old one litre plastic milk bottles to freeze in my new fridge freezer.

Looked on Amazon UK yesterday, found three little bottles, a little expensive but what I want. Almost bought them, until I saw the delivery details.
Either one month before delivery... or £50 for express delivery. For three little bottles?

This is, obviously, because I don't use Prime. I don't buy much on Amazon.
I tried to find this again and get a screenprint to upload, but not surprisingly I can't get back to it.

- anyone else had similar?

Ice cube tray then put into a zip lock bag. Then you can take out however much you need.

Ice cube tray good idea. I would just buy two small ones and reuse them. I only have organic and that's what I do.

Beware freezing large containers of milk.

I always used to keep one in the freezer for emergencies, but found when they defrosted they split and leaked.

I think one reason is the plastic is not as strong as it once was, with all the emphasis on not using it.

These were Tesco 4 pint containers.

I now keep a couple of long life cartons in the cupboard instead.

My shopper is (I hope) bringing two small bottles of cow milk later this afternoon. I'll decant them and offer to neighbours.

Then wash and freeze two 500ml of goat milk standing up with the tops a little loose - to be fastened when solid.
Seems the easiest way out.

Thanks for suggestions but a lot of them are not possible for me, I'm pretty much housebound and disabled.
