Buy some prickly plants, holly, berberis etc., and plant round the garden. Ha ha!

I'm not a pearl clutcher but wonder why anybody would want to do gardening naked. He needs to be careful with the shears and pruners.

Years ago I had a very attractive friend who used to sunbathe naked. She lived in a fairly remote cottage in Cornwall with high hedges all round the garden, so there were no neighbours to see her. However the helicopters from Culdrose Naval base used to fly over every day!

Some have complained of hygiene but how many have pets - cats and dogs, who spend most of their time sat down with their bums rubbing over carpets.

Oh yes, the bum rub! Aka scooting. Means anal glands need attention, I believe.

I don't mean to be horrible but I think you're being unreasonable. After being married for all that time and being together before the marriage so should have at least an idea of how he goes about things!

I understand you don't want to ''see things'' but you can look away or go into another room.

However, you could ask him to wear shorts in the house, which is reasonable.

Seriously though jamesandjon I m sorry you didn’t get more helpful postings on your query but I do think most of us older folk have seen plenty over the years and aren’t too shocked…. maybe I m just speaking for myself but if you look at the humorous replies on this page I think you ll agree most aren’t fazed by a bit of nuditity or sex
I just think how many times I get pricked (no pun intended) and stung when I m on the allotment or garden that I wouldn’t really want to expose my more tender bits to that, although I suppose a bum isn’t tender but other bits are
However if poster had said he liked sunbathing in the nude in his not overlooked garden I would have not even blinked

I can remember seeing on television a couple who gardened naked, - in Hampshire I think. They had open days.

It is not my preferred mode, but each to their own I suppose.

They must get through gallons of factor 50 though.

Naked bums on seats ….. not in my house. That goes for dogs too.

DD moved recently to a house where the previous owners had a dog and cat and couldn't get the carpets out and away fast enough because the animals would in her words 'have been wiping their rss on it. And at least a naked man doesn't have fleas.

Bluebelle Some time ago I posted on here about an acquaintance who had shown me a rather explicit video on her phone, quite out of the blue.. I was asking for advice, as to what I should have done. Did I get any? No.Just post after post of how horrid porn was. No help whatsoever. I learnt later that this acquaintances had done this often and she was in the first stages of dementia. ‘Pearl clutching was exactly what happened then… and I have never forgotten it. Where abouts are you? I would have thought that gardening naked is a bit chilly for much of the year, depending on which part of the country you’re in.

I think the sight of a naked man well in his 70’s gardening would be a gruesome sight.

Even Monty Don looks better clothed.
