If no refunds I'd ask her what she wants you to do with it as you don't know anyone who could afford it.

Say you are happy to give it away.

I have a bad chest and always worry nearer christmas about going out but I say to my sister if I can’t go you’ll find someone else. But I wouldn’t expect payment for the ticket.

If I couldn't make the show I would willingly give my ticket away to someone.

We had this once , my dh had tickets for Le Mans , he was going with friends but he was really ill and couldn’t go . He found someone else to go and they went halves on the tickets . Could the flaky friend go halves with someone else ?

That is so rude. You do a lovely thing buying her a ticket and then she decides to do something else instead!!! She should give you the ticket so you can invite someone with manners.

Has the friend paid for the ticket? If so, either she finds someone to take her place and presumably reimburse her, or she leaves it with you.

Unless you can find someone willing to pay her for the ticket your friend is responsible for it. Hopefully you will find another friend who will come with you

If that were me I would ask the person I was going with to take a friend and would certainly not ask for payment. Hopefully she has paid for the ticket herself. It’s her problem but I hope she won’t just waste the ticket, or maybe offer it to you at half price, something a friend would be able to afford.

Enjoy the show.

Well, I know what I would do, I would give you the ticket and say I hope you can find someone to go with you . However, I wouldn’t let you down like that unless it was a real emergency. Sadly not everyone thinks like that.

We have tickets for a show. Friend has decided to do someth8ng else that day. I Have friends who would take the ticket but can’t afford it. If someone lets you down like this should they give you their ticket? Refunds or alternative dates are not available.
