I am at present sitting in my DD’s garden. Their neighbours have very loud music playing and it is driving me mad. My Dd and SiL don’t seem to mind. Btw it is 4pm.
Am I being unreasonable?

Our neighbours (in their 60s like us) find it impossible to sit in their garden without playing loud music. This has gone on for 9 years.

So recently he was painting garden shed fairly early one morning (no music) so I left blue tooth speaker by fence blasting out The Cure
It's all been very quiet since

He used to sit in garden until 4am blasting music and singing along until we put cameras in the garden

Don't understand how people can be so selfish. Music now and again for a shortish time I can cope with but hours and hours is just inconsiderate

For me, I think it’s fine for an afternoon here and there, but every day and especially at night would get on my nerves personally.

If it was a one-off or family party, BBQ etc I wouldn't mind. But incessantly it would drive me mad.

Feel very lucky we don't have that problem from immediate neighbours. We are all seniors!

We have two dogs who bark in the garden if someone walks past but I am always quick to shush them if they start and they stop.

Life is so stressful at the moment that your garden should be somewhere that gives you peace and tranquility.

The music which drives me up the wall is the background music in shops and supermarkets. It’s awful! Especially TK Maxx for some reason… That’s one reason why I like Aldi. 🤣
