Same in our house! Drives me potty. I'm expected to get up and go to wherever he is. I keep telling him to book a hearing test but he just smiles. He'll happily go to the opticians but won't admit he's hard of hearing.
They only expect you to go to save them, because you've foolishly trained them thats what will happen.
Just stay put, go totally silent and don't respond. Be unexpected.



The stupid thing is when shouting from another room, we almost know the likelihood is the other person won't hear, it's a sort of idiotic hope that they might glean the gist. My stock answer to o/h when he's doing it to me is "no didn't hear any of that just a noise" Damn cheeky of me really, given I do the same
