Have you printed on fabric with your home printer?

I used pre treated sheets. I expect Elegrans recipes are cheaper if you are going to do much printing.

I bought some treated fabric sheets for my printer and the colours came out very badly - totally different to printing on papers. It was a sad waste of money I felt as it was bought for a particular project. Unfortunately the colour matching was an important feature for me.

I did see some nice black and white photos reproduced this way though and then incorporated into projects.

I hadn't heard of doing this, but looked on Google and found that you can pre-soak cotton fabric in Bubble Jet Set 2000 before printing to make the colours more fast. Great - so I looked for Bubble Jet Set 2000. Hardly any seems available in Uk, and what there is, is expensive. I use those sheets to make the labels for my quilts. The colours seem to be o.k. for about three washes, but get a little paler each time.

I did a test print on a piece of cotton fabric ironed on to paper taken from wrapping of printer paper. It was slightly waxy and stiffened the fabric enough to go through the normal printer. It worked quite well.

I did, I printed a picture of the pattern a scribbler worm left a tree and appliquéd it onto a cushion for my Ausralian DD.
Still looks good after a few years. I didn’t have any problems and meant to do more but haven’t got round to it.
