Isn’t this just amazing?

It's wonderful, such ingenuity. I love the recent decorating of post boxes with knitting, we even had one during lockdown with a rainbow on.

The People's Friend knitted us has been going around the country recently. Readers knitted bunting to decorate it.

Jane10 Thu 01-Oct-20 09:44:13

Sigh. That's a bus!

MawB2 Thu 01-Oct-20 09:47:38

Disappointed Jane10 - I was looking forward to a pic of the knitted entire staff of People’s Friend !

Amazing!

There’s a big picture of it, with Margaret Seaman, the knitter, in today’s Times.

If you click the link there’s a whole BBC article with lots of pics and the whole story.

Yes! It's finished!
All those tiny pieces (and all needing sewing up too).

It's amazing and so is Margaret Seaman.

Well done to all contributors, truly showing such a lot of ingenuity and sheer hard work.
Hopefully it will not be needed for Covid patients

MawB2 Thu 01-Oct-20 12:22:20

smile

As I read it, she did it all herself Panache - truly an achievement.

Callistemon Thu 01-Oct-20 12:24:02

Yes, it was all her own work - and she is 91!

A truly impressive achievement.

Lexisgranny Thu 01-Oct-20 12:43:19

So impressive, RA unfortunately caused me to give up knitting several years ago and I would have enjoyed doing some during lockdown. To achieve that aged 91 is truly amazing.
