How about covering a board with cloth and pinning them to it, maybe have the board in a picture frame.

Could you perhaps take them to picture framer? I don't know how costly this would be but you would get a lovely professional job.

Or a wall hanging or flag?

I was going to suggest print trays too, you can buy old print tray drawers. These are quite expensive but they are ready to put up

The wall hanging one looks quite simple but effective.

Will get the badges sorted, see how many I actually have and go from there.

I use box frames of various sizes to display small items. The silver perfume bottle is stuck to the backing with blue tack.
It would be simple to put a piece fabric to the backing which you could pin your badges too.

A coincidence my thread has re-surfaced, DH and I were looking at box frames in Boyes only the other day. I then collected up all my badges to see how big a one I would need, and will attach something to the back to pin them on, re Kalu’s suggestion.
