How to make beeswax polish

A friend has given me some beeswax blocks and I would like to use them to treat our oak table. I did this about a year ago with some I bought online but it was only a small tin. I found some information that suggested using one part beeswax to three parts olive oil to make your own. Can anyone advise if this is ok please. I would like to use the beeswax seeing as I have it rather than buy online again.

That Gransnet thread explains a simple DIY method for beeswax polish—just melt beeswax with oil (like olive or linseed), mix it well, let it set, and use it to give wood a smooth, natural shine. Easy, effective, and gives furniture a fresh upgraded look.

Just like you polish wood for a smoother finish, gamers level up their gameplay for that same upgraded feel https://subwaysurferapkhub.com/

Wouldn't bother making polish, just buy it, but I would make lip salve.

Bees wax polish does take a lot of elbow grease to rub it off. Furniture can become a little sticky if not regularly buffed
Smells good

Lip salve.
Bees wax melted with almond oil makes the best ever lip salve. Not sure of proportion I work on the trial and error method
As an indication of its effectiveness. Many years ago I left a small pot in the cloakroom If you see teenage boys coming out rubbing their lips together need I say more. I don’t think I used that pot again

Excuse ignorance but where do you get the beeswax from? I’ve never come across it.

There is a website called therawhoneyshop.com Nanna8 .. also you could try your local wholefood shops..
It's a shame this post has been highjacked.. I used to make soaps using beeswax.. it's such an amazing product.

Beware, the wax is a pig to remove from pans and bowls…

Grate or chop the beeswax into small pieces to help it melt more easily. Then, in a double boiler or a heatproof container placed in a pot of simmering water, melt the beeswax. Once melted, add the olive oil and stir until well combined. The ratio of 1 part beeswax to 3 parts olive oil is a good starting point, but you can adjust it slightly depending on your preference.

Once the mixture has cooled but is still soft enough to work with, use a clean, soft cloth to apply it to the surface of your oak table. Work the mixture into the wood in a circular motion, covering the entire surface evenly.

The answer might include instructions on melting beeswax, mixing it with oil, and applying the polish to wood for a natural, protective finish.
