I think it looks great. You are so talented.

witzend thank you for explaining.

Barely noticeable, Witzend.
Perhaps his mother washed half in Persil (remember the adverts?).
By the time his high viz jacket is on, no-one will notice. He looks very jolly.

I'm using a cream for crocheting that is almost white. In electric light it's difficult to see the difference.

I do admire a clever “cover-up” of a mistake.
He is lovely. Would you be able to share the pattern please. Perfect for a little chap I know who would love him.

Feelingmyage55, I’m so sorry, but all the Knit for Nowt patterns are password-protected - all donated for free by the designers - they’re to be used only for the charity - we are asked not to share them.

Well done! Now only another 19,999 to go and that should fill the gap that Theresa May's infamous cuts to police numbers visited on us.
(But will they be any good at rounding up shoplifters?)

It certainty looks good to me too. My mother was born without thumbs on either hand. It didn't stop her however, she knitted wonderful jumpers that were out of this world🌏 She was also a wonderful horsewoman & competed in many dressage trials! A force of nature! 😊

What a 'Bobby dazzler'.

It's still cute and no child is going to notice the difference they will just love it.

That’s fabulous and don’t worry about the difference in colours. Well done to you.

That's cute Witzend. As an aside when my son was in uniform those horrible polyester shirts had a tendency to age to cream wink

It was only when I started sewing up my police hand puppet in reasonable daylight at the dining room table (knitted largely by lamplight on the sofa) that I realised that on running out of white for his shirt, I’d used cream instead!

Luckily his hi-viz vest hides the worst, so I doubt that anyone’s going to be too bothered.
