Strong elastic bands maybe or a trip to the tv Repair Shop.

I do know that you need something with a hook at the end for hooking the elastic and pulling it out for each arm and leg. A crochet hook would do it.

Something I've done many times, even when I was still a child. I agree with the others - a strong elastic band and a crochet hook. You'll need to make sure it's tight or the limbs will droop, so you'll have to pull hard on the elastic. It might be helpful to have someone else to help, so that one of you can pull and the other can hook the arms and legs on.
