How to renovate a Teddy bear?

Can't go to The Repair Shop as I don't have a real sob story to tell.

Thank you everyone. Sounds doable. Miss Adventure thank you for the link. That is very informative. Will now be looking for more. Must get my baby doll out from her carrier bag in the loft and apologise to her. She ate some jam sandwiches when I had her (paper bits with red crayon on them) but she must be hungry by now.

I do know that you need something with a hook at the end for hooking the elastic and pulling it out for each arm and leg. A crochet hook would do it.

Yes, this will work.

Something I've done many times, even when I was still a child. I agree with the others - a strong elastic band and a crochet hook. You'll need to make sure it's tight or the limbs will droop, so you'll have to pull hard on the elastic. It might be helpful to have someone else to help, so that one of you can pull and the other can hook the arms and legs on.

I don't know if this will help, but it's one of many.

I have a 1940’s baby doll. She always wore real baby clothes so not tiny. She lives in a carrier bag in the side loft. Just needs restringing. Nowhere local and we don’t drive any longer. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and might have an idea of what might be needed. Thank you.
