I treated myself to a sewing machine with an automatic thread-cutter and I love it. The downside is that there are no long thread-tails to hold onto at the start of a seam and even though I always start a little way in from the edge and sew slowly, I often get that little tangle of thread under the fabric.
Has anyone else found a way to prevent this, apart from pulling out the thread from the bobbin and needle every time (which defeats the purpose of the thread-cutter)?
