Knitting error

You are allowed to vent, I guess we we have all done it at some time! If you redo it in loose backstitch, creatung a small seam to hide your repair to the edges, no-one will know!

Can you run stitches through the loops in both sleeves to secure the cut bits, then crochet or chain stitch over the top to hide it and make a decorative seam? Or sew on an icord?

I feel your pain as I’ve done that before. Try and pick up the stitches below with a crochet hook and sew them in. Otherwise it means redoing some of it. Let us know how you get on.

If you worked bottom up, you might be able to undo the top rows of each sleeve and finish them again with fresh wool.

Unless very small, I’d use circular needles to do the neck.

So maddening! I’ve done much the same - undoing and cutting the wrong bit….

Yesterday I was knitting what was supposed to be the front of a policeman hand puppet (for Knit for Nowt) when I noticed (several rows back) 3 rogue knit stitches that should have been purl, in the black ‘trousers’.
So now it’s going to be the back of the puppet, where they’re a lot less likely to be noticeable!
