Crochet temperature blanket

A friend of mine did a crochet temperature blanket and showed me a photo of the finished one. I'd never even heard of it before but I was so inspired I've decided to start one for my son's 30th birthday just for my own interest really and because I like a project. Just wondering if anyone else is doing one as I might need some encouragement to keep going! I haven't done a crochet project of any sort for over 30 years.

For others who haven't heard of it - it's basically a visual representation of a load of temperature data, so it can be a day by day of high temperatures for a year, or a historical one of years gone by, different colours for each temperature. There are some lovely Facebook sites with gorgeous examples to have a look at!

Geometry Dash is nothing to do with crochet.

What an original idea .
I envy those who can crochet .
I think that I could knit a row to reflect the temperature .
I'm so hopeless at knitting that I can't remember if I've purled or plained on my last row and have to write it down !
