Knitting a waistcoat atm and I too knit dog blankets for local dog rescue with the odd yarn left over when I’ve enough stash.

Well, I have finished knitting a sweater for me and then I will sew it up at the weekend. Not my favourite job. So tonight I am back to knitting dog/cat blankets for Battersea with oddments of yarn.

Rosie I came across the Linus Project as I volunteer with the family support worker at our local hospice. I know that the quilts help children who are losing someone close to them and are very much appreciated.

very carefully learnt from my ancient grandmother's very old knitting & sewing book.
It's an old yellow book from the 20's maybe 30's & I love it so much & learning so much too.🤗

Such a worthy project teabagwoman, I'm sure your blankets will be well received. When I was still quilting I used to make quilts for them.

I’ve just come back to knitting after major deterioration in my sight. I’m knitting baby blankets for the Linus Project as they don’t need sewing up which is a step too far for me.

I'm trying to Simon up the enthusiasm to start the border round the blanket, the instructions are a bit vague and there are so many differently sized stitches down each side.

As needles can be taken as any sort. A beach scene to do at my craft group and a Ice Phoenix at home both cross stitch.

Used to love knitting but had to give up over 30 years ago due my disability causing lack of control over the needles. But love seeing other people's knits and crochet items .

^A triangular shawl for my granddaughter in a red, green, white and silver sparkle yarn.^

This was my post last October.
I lost a lot of time last autumn as we had a crisis with Dad; he ended up in hospital, then a care home, then we moved him to a different care home.
However my granddaughter has been very patient! She's seen the work in progress and knows she will get her shawl when it's a good size. So I'm carrying on...

Well I finally finished this and handed it over this week.
My granddaughter is really pleased with it and has been so patient waiting for it 🥰

I'm just learning to do intarsia - I'm loving it although having 12 changes per row is a challenge. I looked up how to do it on YouTube and an expert said not to use bobbins but to just measure roughly how long each colour should be, and let all the threads stay loose on my lap. So far I'm absolutely loving it.
I'm no expert, although I've been knitting for about 70 years. Mum taught me. I can do cables etc but haven't done any colourwork at all.
I thought I'd challenge myself to learn something new - evidently it keeps the brain active! I did attempt norweigan knitting, but that was just too different after knitting the english way for so long.

Well done! It’s great to try something new. How do you measure the amount of yarn that you need to use? It sounds like good fun and I’ll give it a go. Thanks for sharing.

MiniMoon I love your red cardigan, would it be possible to link to the pattern you used please?
My needles are empty at the moment. Just unravelled the wool for the second time from a nearly completed garment. The first one I didn't like how the collar sat on me, so unravelled and started a different jumper. Nearly finished and realised I was going to run out of wool so unravelled again. Fingers crossed it will be third time lucky

Oh and I’m also making a small throw to go over the bottom of my son’s bed.ln between knitting.

Cable on the front and back. A crocodile (my name for it) stitch on the sleeves.
Knitting keeps me sane because I do battle depression. I’m looking at some new wool for another jumper for my friend’s birthday in march.

Still plodding on with the blanket which is more of a crochet sampler, I think. So many different stitches and umpteen ends to sew in (which I should do as I go along, of course).

Is that all cabled? 😲

I’ve just finished a jumper for myself then going to start a cowl for a friend.

The first few inches of the head and body of a Big Fat Smiley Ted - destined as usual for Knit for Nowt.

Lovely colour and stitch, Baggs.

It will be a garment to treasure.
