Liquid latex

Has anyone worked with liquid latex? I am knitting slippers to felt, and the pattern says to apply liquid latex to the soles so the wearer doesn't slip on a hard floor - either all over the sole or in decorative dots.

I've googled and looked on Amazon, and there is a lot of latex available for making Halloween costumes - scars, blood etc, and large containers with separate bottles of thickener.

Does anyone know what kind I need, and how to apply it, please? Do I need thickener, and if so, what do I do with it?

If you Google "liquid latex for slipper socks" instead of just liquid latex, various products come up that seem to be for footwear.
Amazon has one called Anti-slip sock glue.

Thanks, Ilovecheese.

I thought I'd googled all the possibilities, but didn't think of 'anti-slip sock glue', even though that's exactly what I'm looking for grin

Ooh, thanks. I've knitted one slipper (it looks like a clown shoe) and when I've done the other I will take a pre-felting photo and a post-felting one, so you can see if it's worked. I've made felt bags before, but nothing that needs to fit someone.
