How come Mumsnet gets the lovely Idris and we got Giles Brandreth?

Apparently some of the questions were x-rated and had to be deleted tchgrin

Grandmothers also like sex on legs talented actors!

I'm sure some women find John Humphrys attractive ... and Libby too come to that tchsmile

I'm still hoping for Idris.

Ana Wed 18-Dec-13 21:44:31

Attractive, maybe - but sex-on-legs...?

POGS Wed 18-Dec-13 21:51:46

I would nominate Baroness Trumpington.

She appears to have a good sense of fun and quite an eventful past.

I would think she would be straight to the point with a hint of feistiness but with a touch of humour to balance things out, I personally like all these traits in a person.

Angela Merkel! She would be good!

I like her.

Still holding out for Idris, I got all excited when i saw the thread title. sad Hugh Jackman wouldn't go amiss either.

Ann Widdecombe? She came to my son's school a couple of years ago to do 'an audiemnce with' and was hilarious.

jinglbellrocks Wed 18-Dec-13 22:25:41

We've had Anne Widdecombe. She whizzed through in a puff of green smoke. Blink and you'd have missed her.

jinglbellrocks Wed 18-Dec-13 22:26:45

You need to think of someone who's got a book coming out.

janerowena Wed 18-Dec-13 22:34:54

Really? That's a shame. There are very few celebrity books I would want to read.

annodomini Wed 18-Dec-13 22:45:05

The great columnist, Katharine Whitehorn, please, please, PLEASE.

penguinpaperback Wed 18-Dec-13 23:37:56

Giles Brandreth..again. Because I seem to have missed his webchat and he probably has another book coming out. tchwink

Being sensible after my silly posting above, Sue MacGregor would be my choice of guest to invite for a Webchat. When I was a young, stay at home Mum Woman's Hour with Sue and having The Guardian delivered to my door were my daily treats to enjoy when DD was having her morning nap. She always had a long nap straight after her breakfast. smile

Hmm I'm just wondering how did my efforts to spice things up a bit introduce a talented actor to Gransnetters end up with requests for Anne Widdicombe and Angela Merkel tchgrin

merlotgran Thu 19-Dec-13 11:03:16

LucyGransnet (GNHQ) Thu 19-Dec-13 13:04:05

Personally, I'd like to second the Hugh Jackman suggestion tchgrin

janerowena Thu 19-Dec-13 14:21:06

grin Well, that's decided then!

Now, who's going to persuade him to write a book?

KatyK Thu 19-Dec-13 15:15:14

I think Nigel Havers is rather fetching tchblush

jinglbellrocks Thu 19-Dec-13 15:26:17

Now I've got to Google Hugh Jackman.

Why do I know nothing? [thankful]

jinglbellrocks Thu 19-Dec-13 15:26:57

No! Not thankful! tchshock

jinglbellrocks Thu 19-Dec-13 15:28:37

I mean, it should have been the emoticon for shock.
