Totally agree with Jings re flavoured coffee.

I don't even like liqueur coffee like an Irish coffee. I like my liqueur separately !

Hmmmm I wonder if I could sneak in a cheeky little Tia Maria with my ham sandwich and coffee for lunch? [grin ]

We put 2 very heaped dessert spoons in ours - so 4 level ones I suppose. We like it strong!!! we only have it for breakfast though. We always used to get our filter coffee from Sainsburys or Tesco, but Lidl have started sell it now and it's not bad!

Neither do I! The more it's disguised the better.

Truth is I don't like coffee

I'm not precious about my coffee and will drink most but agree with jings about flavoring spoiling coffee. Especially mint or caramel.
Can't stand lattes. Give me plain ordinary coffee, black or white.

I liked flavoured coffee because it covers up the coffee flavour! Carmel coffee is lovely.

I would chuck it. TBH.

Oh, yes, there are 6 sachets! With silly names like "Christmas Morning" etc.At least now I have some idea how much to use. I always think when |I get a "luxury present" how I'd rather have had something practical! Like a n ew frying pan!

Yeah. 60 grams is more than two ounces isn't it? I would one of those satchels in a full size cafetière. Making about three mugfuls.

60grams is quite a lot - 4 tablespoons or 12 teaspoons. (5g = 1teaspoon, 15g = 1 tablespoon) It depends how strong you like your coffee.

Cafetieres usually come in cup sizes lik 4 cups, 8 cups, etc. so I would start with one teaspoon per cup for the number of cups your cafetiere is supposed to be.

It's really hard to find proper tespoons now...they're all fancy and little etc. I've got a very old one of my mum/dad's which I always use and guard with my life! I've also got those scoops for my filter machine. Thanks for the tip though. I like it strong but it does make me "jittery" Yes, I can visualise yards, inches etc but my oh gets angry. about that.

I usually put in 2 teaspoons or 3 dessert spoonfuls if using bigger cafetière. I don't like strong coffee so it's a bit trial and error.

You're certainly not thick - I'm still using imperial measurements, can't get my head around metric, and especially centimetres!
