Google your question. I've learned so much since I started doing this. For instance - an out of sync zip on a favourite coat got stuck up beside my neck. I thought I would have to spend the rest of my life in the coat or have it cut off me! But managed to force the zip down far enough to wriggle out and then checked on Google. Result? zip fixed, favourite coat restored to use!

They mark more when you iron over the extra thickness of a seam, even one on the other side of the leg. It might be better to iron them inside out.

Fine sandpaper? Very cautiously applied! and remember to use either a danp cloth or the steam setting next time.

Depends what they are made of I think. I have resurrected some by steaming, others by washing again, some sadly I could never save. Will be looking out for the infallible fix!

Rub them with scrunched up kitchen foil I think I read once¬!
