Both my husband and I have been on this way of eating for two and a half years now, a year to lose weight and eighteen months maintaining the loss. We have both seen a significant drop in cholesterol, my BP has gone down to a level which means that my doctor took me off medication and I can honestly say I have never felt so healthy. As others have said it is low-carb not no carb and contains a lot of the elements of the Mediterranean diet as well. There are lots of good news stories on the thread.

I have heard nothing but success stories about this regime. Note that it is low rather than no carb, so is probably better than the old Atkins diet which you may be thinking of.
