The question is can, no, dare I wear orange tights with this dress?

Bellanonna Fri 09-Jun-17 21:36:49

Go on, freak them out Baggs

Ok, I don't agree with bright orange on legs. Ive never really seen one unless it was an over indulgence in fake tan, which in itself is pretty weird.

Baggs Fri 09-Jun-17 21:35:10

Actually, on second thoughts, maybe I would like to freak people out and that has been, is, and ever will be the whole point! Arf.

Baggs Fri 09-Jun-17 21:29:50

I don't agree about sheer orange and anyway, sheer's suitability would still depend on tinge. Besides, if I wore sheer I'd have to shave my legs and I can't be arsed. They aren't very hairy but people are so critical of actual and natural nowadays and I wouldn't want to freak anyone out.

Links are shorthand, saves typing in a whole load of stuff which someone else has put better than you can yourself. Or to show a picture. A few links are OK, it is endless lists of them that get tedious.

Baggs Fri 09-Jun-17 21:27:41

I'm good at tinge, actually.

Baggs Fri 09-Jun-17 21:27:15

Thanks, elegran. Well, if saak had bothered to look at my second photo and to read a post explaining that the orange was more like a pale terracotta than anything else, she'd already have know that neon orange never came into it. If that's what tinge meant, then tinge was well-covered way back.

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 21:25:20

I mean sheer orange would work.

Personally, I still don't like links to reaffirm anything, they're annoying.

Penstemmon Fri 09-Jun-17 21:23:40

SAAK you know what when I am talking to my friends in RL we sometimes look things up in the paper/magazine/books/on line. To illustrate our conversation. Stop being so effing pompous!

Elegran Fri 09-Jun-17 21:23:40

I think SAAK means burnt orange, not neon.

Baggs Fri 09-Jun-17 21:20:24

Oh wait! I've got that now. But not the tinge thing.

Baggs Fri 09-Jun-17 21:19:34

And what, exactly, hasn't gone unnoticed?

Baggs Fri 09-Jun-17 21:18:42

What do you mean by "have a tinge of it", please, saak?

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 21:14:38

People "speak" on forums, I have no idea why links are necessary. Just say it.

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 21:13:17

a link? really?

Penstemmon Fri 09-Jun-17 21:12:49

This hasn't gone un noticed Baggs.

My opinion is orange tights are pretty ghastly on anyone, should never have been invented in the first place. If you must do orange tights then have a "tinge" of it.

Baggs Fri 09-Jun-17 21:02:26

Thanks, BB. I googled her too. I had genuinely never heard of her. That's how much attention I pay to fashion designers.

BBbevan Fri 09-Jun-17 20:58:56

Very well known designer. Baggs Started in the 60s I think.

Baggs Fri 09-Jun-17 20:56:39

Who's Vivienne Westwood?

Baggs Fri 09-Jun-17 20:56:00

Blimey! Is this still going?

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 20:46:49

*s

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 20:42:38

Same way Vivienne Westwood always look a bit mad.

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 20:40:08

Fair enough but orange tights are not and never will be a good look.

Elegran Fri 09-Jun-17 20:34:49

If it scared her it would be brave, but I can't see Baggs being scared of wearing what she wants to.
