Orange tights

Think Mary, as on Gogglebox. Last night she was wearing bright orange tights with a patterned dress/skirt.

I don't know because I don't know how daring you are!
However, if you are very daring then yes - and dye your hair bright orange too

I was thinking about the other thread (s) about hair dyes.

Tights are so uncomfortable especially in muggy weather could you not just go bare legged ? Sorry if I'm not being helpful but I never could abide tights it's bare legs for me .

Fancy dress? Sorry, couldn't resist but there again I am an introvert!

I would wear navy tights with the dress bags

It is not whether the tights would go with the fabric, it is whether orange tights are a good idea, full stop.

What colour orange? Day glow orange, like a motorway worker? A lovely warm autumnal orange? A yellow or greeny orange? What colour and style are the shoes you will wear?

I am the last person to suggest age appropriate dressing or recommend shades of beige, but try and imagine your reactions if you saw someone, any age, dressed in the combination, you have in mind then, if you go ahead, wear them but forget about them. The worst combination is someone dressed with pzazz, but is obviously not entirely sure it was a good idea and goes round looking embarrassed.

If you have the confidence to wear them i would say yes as it has orange in the lines on the fabric.
