Would you present this romantic love sausage to your OH on Valentine's Day?

It's from M&S and they recommend that it's served with two fried eggs and surrounded by petals! grin

'It's lightly truffled and wrapped in bacon'

It looks disgusting! Full of nitrites!!

Anja Mon 11-Feb-19 15:38:42

Only if you were hoping to clog up his or her arteries.

Death by sausage!

Just too much ?

A strange looking concoction. I can’t imagine egg with Yorkshire pudding. I suppose it’s a glorified toad in the hole, but eggs? and romantic? hmm

shysal Mon 11-Feb-19 16:03:54

It looks to me like a sausage wrapped in bacon, a glorified pig in blanket. I wouldn't say no! I would add chips and possibly baked beans just to make it completely unhealthy. It's not going to happen because I am trying to lose weight and don't have a man to give it to me! grin

I think I'll stick to chocolates for Valentine Day grin

Well I suppose it is low-carb .... hmm

lemongrove Mon 11-Feb-19 16:14:15

I think it looks yummy, but enough for two there with some buttered toast.

HildaW Mon 11-Feb-19 16:21:32

'don't have a man to give it to me'.......what sort of sausage are we talking about? wink

EllanVannin Mon 11-Feb-19 16:21:58

Oh dear, I wouldn't be tempted.
Judging by the size of the presentation wouldn't bicycle petals ( pedals ) be more appropriate ?

Grandma70s Mon 11-Feb-19 16:27:02

I think it looks ridiculous, plain silly. I never saw anything so unromantic. Is it meant to be funny? What on earth was in the mind of the designer?

It probably tastes quite nice.

Lisagran Mon 11-Feb-19 16:31:41

Someone cooked one and posted a pic online grin

Riverwalk Mon 11-Feb-19 16:35:54

Oh, dear! grin

ninathenana Mon 11-Feb-19 16:38:32

Mapleleaf Yorkshire pudding ? confused

Lisagran Mon 11-Feb-19 16:45:49

It’s a sausage wrapped in bacon Mapleleaf

Beau Mon 11-Feb-19 17:00:58

I think it looks tasty ?

NanaandGrampy Mon 11-Feb-19 17:21:39

Id give it a go...but then i'm the person that had to try the giant pig in blanket from Aldi at Christmas :-)

Bridgeit Mon 11-Feb-19 17:30:00

Perfect for romantic sausage lovers ?

Gonegirl Mon 11-Feb-19 17:46:07

Mmm, I'd eat it. Just don't add the eggs too soon. Rock hard eggs wouldn't be good.

Mapleleaf Mon 11-Feb-19 18:40:01

I’m having a senior moment,*ninathenanny*! grin

BradfordLass72 Mon 11-Feb-19 19:04:35

I only looked at this thread because I thought the title a bit saucy and thought we were going to have another laugh.
But it wasn't the kind of 'love sausage' I was expecting. What a shame. grin

Here's what I sent my son for Valentine's Day - but it is his 40th birthday.

petra Mon 11-Feb-19 19:35:03

It's lightly truffled: what's not to like, yum yum.

Tangerine Mon 11-Feb-19 20:53:35

I don't think it's what I'd cook if I anticipated a romantic evening. It looks indigestible.

Jalima1108 Mon 11-Feb-19 21:28:00

It's not quite like the ad, is it Lisagran!

DH would probably love it
But he couldn't eat a whole one.
