My Partner received the full £200 until last year when I reached SP age. Now we both get £100 each.

We both had a letter stating that as two people are eligible in our household, we would receive half each.

Thanks everyone.
Gonegirl.....as was said in one of the Bond films ‘shared bodily heat’

Callistemon you’ve got a keeper in your DH ?

Callistemon Wed 04-Dec-19 10:17:04

This payment is paid at a shared rate because there was another person living in the household also entitled to this payment

DH receives a higher amount this time but has generously said I may share the heat.

Presumably that would generate enough hot air not to receive any heating allowance at all?

six elderly siblings were living together

They would keep each other warm?

Gonegirl Wed 04-Dec-19 10:13:34

Ah! Callistemon actually reads the letter. Well done C. grin

I don't know what would happen if, say, six elderly siblings were living together

Gonegirl Wed 04-Dec-19 10:12:42

Oooh.... It wouldn't be fair would it? confused

Only the one house to heat.

Callistemon Wed 04-Dec-19 10:12:38

The letter states that someone else in the household is also receiving the payment (if eligible) so no, each person receives half.

If one person is eligible that person will receive the full amount, if two are eligible then half each.

Good question! Don't know the answer....

EllanVannin Wed 04-Dec-19 10:05:28

I imagine if it's different surnames then the full allowance each, but I really don't know.

None of this applies to me, just being nosy I suppose ?.

If you live together, and not married do you each get the full winter fuel allowance and if you live together with a sibling/siblings do you each get the full allowance ?
