The Musem of Childhood at Sudbury Hall, a National Trust property, might like the Scalextric.

If you do an ‘advanced’ ‘ sold ‘ search on eBay for Vintage Scalextric you will see there is a good market for it .

The older the more valuable. I sold my uncles meccano set after he died. I got over £1,000 for the boxed full set and several £ hundred from all the bits and pieces.

Everything was 30-50 years old.

We recently fished out the old Scaletrix from the loft and everyone had so much fun with it.
There is always a market for it.
What about a charity shop, someone else may find pleasure in it?

The sets are over 50 years old and some of it I felt was only ripe for chucking but I kept the track, fencing, banking and some buildings.

f you have whole sets, don't chuck parts of a set - an enthusiast may be able to sort any battered bits.

I just put the Scalectrics out by the pavement with a 'Please take me' sign. There's Freecycle or Freegle - you could sell them on Ebay if you want.

Gumtree in your area would be a good place to list it locally.
