Yes, a handbag holder.
I had one but lost it (no, it's not mine!).

DD gave me one so I don't have to put my handbag on a dirty floor - if I could find it!

I think it’s a handbag hanger for hanging your bag when sitting at a table. I’ve seen them online, but I like to keep my bag more secure than that!

Handbag holder - hook hand bag onto decorative part then place t’other end on table edge.

Please can anyone solve this mystery. It is nearly 2 inches in diameter and the hinged section fits neatly round the edge.
