Have you ever eaten a Terry's Chocolate Orange?

As a rule I don't have a sweet tooth but for some strange reason, I blame the virus, I bought one of the pesky orange-shaped blobs, which are made with real orange oil.

I'm about to eat the last 2 segments and have only just idly checked the calorie count! shock

Tomorrow's walk is gonna have to be a long one!

There is no version of chocolate that I dislike. Some I like more than others - but I have no difficulty whatsoever in eating a large bar or whole chocolate orange (they're not that big anyway).

I love them, but only the dark chocolate version which is harder to find. So when I do find them, I tend to buy a few. I haven't eaten a whole one in one sitting, but I'm up for the challenge.

As the advert used to say in the 70s....
"Tap it, unwrap it, and share a little luxury..."
Except....you didn't share it, did you? ?

Hell yes!!!!!!!

How can anyone not eat a whole choc orange. I only get them at Xmas but no probs eating them. Eating part of one is like eating part if an Easter egg. Not good

I love them and could quiet easily eat a whole one.

Ok not only am I stranded in Crete, I now want a chocolate orange more than anything! Not a lot of chance of finding one here on my one day a week shop. Why did I read this forum? Who is the meanie who started it?

Sawsage2 Tue 31-Mar-20 16:59:20

Great idea. Will try it.?

H1954
I haven't got a chocolate orange so I had to make do with a real orange.

I did put the grated peel into some "healthy" biscuits I made earlier.

Once, I did not enjoy the experience, chocolate and fruit? yuk.

With popping candy, Leavesden?! Why have I never noticed them? shock

Elizabeth1 Tue 31-Mar-20 16:29:41

Claudiaclaws bet you hate the word moist too wink

Leavesden Tue 31-Mar-20 16:14:26

I love the one with popping candy don’t see them very often though, only really eat one at Christmas.

H1954 Tue 31-Mar-20 16:11:25

CHOCOLATE ORANGE! Does that count as one of our five a day?

Claudiaclaws Tue 31-Mar-20 16:09:27

I hate the word, segment!

Elizabeth1 Tue 31-Mar-20 16:06:26

I’m a chocoholic and I just love chocolate oranges they slide down very easily. I break each segment off then pop them into my mouth until I’ve had enough. I can usually finish one off over several days. There’s no stopping me when chocolate oranges are around

live7 Tue 31-Mar-20 15:59:47

I ate a whole one in one sitting a month or so ago. I quite shocked myself but my friends thought it was hilarious!

CBBL Tue 31-Mar-20 15:53:50

Yes, we too, buy them at Christmas - but we share! I don't think either of us (Hubby and me) have eaten a whole one by ourselves - though hubby could definitely eat a whole one, if given permission!

p.s. Nannylovesshopping I'm pretty sure that we could eat a whole box of Maltesers, too!

Quizzer Tue 31-Mar-20 15:45:48

I hate them!

Maggiemaybe Tue 31-Mar-20 15:44:04

Well I do eat the “posh” stuff, but only when everything else has gone!

GagaJo Tue 31-Mar-20 15:35:44

I like both Maggiemaybe. They’re different things though, aren’t they? Ones a real indulgence, the other a sensation.

Maggiemaybe Tue 31-Mar-20 15:32:13

Come on, folks, be honest. Does anyone honestly enjoy that high-cocoa content dark chocolate as a treat or is it just that you can eat it and still feel virtuous? Give me a common old creme egg any day of the week. smile

GagaJo Tue 31-Mar-20 15:11:28

How funny Riverwalk. I was in Alamogordo. Very weird place.

I LOVED the desert though. With those huge cactuses. And driving to El Paso. A hundred miles on a staight, flat road.

My daughter’s dog ate a whole chocolate orange on Christmas Eve. It was a wrapped Christmas present but she ate the lot including the box and silver paper. A swift visit to the vet resulted in her being sick for hours but it didn’t put her off chocolate. It has to be well hidden now,

HootyMcOwlface Tue 31-Mar-20 14:09:55

Get thee to Aldi! Chocolate oranges 99p today! ?
