As a rule I don't have a sweet tooth but for some strange reason, I blame the virus, I bought one of the pesky orange-shaped blobs, which are made with real orange oil.

I'm about to eat the last 2 segments and have only just idly checked the calorie count! shock

Tomorrow's walk is gonna have to be a long one!

Riverwalk
You ate a whole one??

overthehill Mon 30-Mar-20 19:45:51

Have I?.......My goodness I've eaten loads in my time, lovely

paddyanne Mon 30-Mar-20 19:46:23

I've got Easter eggs living on top of a wardrobe ,should I worry about them going off if we're in lockdown for another 3 or 4 months. If so would OH be right in saying he could have one tonight just to save waste? Or should I tell him to begger off they'll be fine?

Riverwalk Mon 30-Mar-20 19:47:07

Well yeh ..... but not all in one go!

Riverwalk Mon 30-Mar-20 19:48:19

That was to GrannyLaine.

I've got one segment left.

Treebee Mon 30-Mar-20 19:49:46

Tried it once, didn’t like it.

eazybee Mon 30-Mar-20 19:51:13

Yes, used to get one in my stocking as a child.
Have eaten some since.

Callistemon Mon 30-Mar-20 19:57:57

DH likes them so I buy him one a year at Christmas.
I'm usually allowed 2, maybe 3, segments.

Lilypops Mon 30-Mar-20 19:58:10

I have eaten two in the last fortnight, I blame stress of lockdown, Well I have to find some excuse ,

GrannyLaine Mon 30-Mar-20 20:05:28

Phew, well that's okay then Riverwalk
I'm like you Callistemon, get offered the odd segment.......

Grannyben Mon 30-Mar-20 20:05:41

I always find that if you pick the segments off carefully, it leaves a chunky bit in the middle which is very nice to finish off with

Gingster Mon 30-Mar-20 20:07:12

MyDH loves them. I hate them. He buys them when they are on offer for £1. You can pay anything up to £2.99 for one. He buys two or three at a time, and has a stash of them . Last count he had twelve. When all the family are around, he hands them out . He has a couple a week himself. Just the thought of a chocolate orange makes me nauseous.

MamaCaz Mon 30-Mar-20 20:48:31

You know that they count as one of your five a day, don't you? It has to be a whole one though - just eating a couple of segments does you no good at all! grin

BlueBelle Mon 30-Mar-20 20:53:41

Yuk don’t like them at all

LullyDully Mon 30-Mar-20 20:58:06

We have a two Easter eggs to give to the younger grandsons , should we see them any time soon.

At least we have ONE after this evening. Did consider sending them by post but maybe not now. Will ask our son to buy them one each from us.?

notanan2 Mon 30-Mar-20 20:58:55

Only at Christmas. But lockdown is sorta like Christmas eh?

arosebyanyothername Mon 30-Mar-20 21:01:00

Love them! They were £1 each in Tesco just before the shutdown. It’s a tradition at Christmas that everyone gets one.
I will look on my next online order and see if they still have them.
Ps @Grannyben I like the bit in the middle too ?

SueDonim Mon 30-Mar-20 21:03:23

Yuk! I don’t like them. You can all share mine. grin

Alima Mon 30-Mar-20 21:17:04

Love ‘em, found it very easy to eat a whole one though reformed character now. Remember the Dawn French advert, “they’re not Terry’s they’re mine”?

Grannybags Mon 30-Mar-20 21:21:32

Yes but never managed a whole one! Respect Riverwalk!

Grammaretto Mon 30-Mar-20 21:28:39

notanan grin
Of course i am an expert on chocolate. Not had that particular one for several years but british choc tends to be over sweet in my opinion.
Cadburys changed their formula years ago so their bars are mostly sugar and very low cocoa content.

Grannynannywanny Mon 30-Mar-20 21:32:56

I had one lurking in the cupboard a while back approaching it’s use by date. Melted it and made yummy rice crispie cakes with the grandkids . They took great delight in taking a few home to their parents and asking them to guess the secret ingredient

annsixty Mon 30-Mar-20 22:01:17

My C ,now both in their 50’s always had one at C.......S .
I was allowed a couple of segments from each.
If I had had my own I probably could have eaten a whole one.

Nannylovesshopping Mon 30-Mar-20 22:52:23

No Riverwalk but I can eat a whole box of malteesers in one sitting without really trying?
