Why won't Yahoo Mail let me delete my emails?

Where are you reading this? If on a phone, try deleting the mail app and resetting it up.

I'm stuck in a funny place this morning where I can't delete any emails.. The usual 'Archive/Move/Delete/Spam' along the top have turned pale grey & can't be clicked on. What's going on? Am I doing something wrong? I tried logging out & logging in again but it made no difference. It won't let me tick the boxes, it goes straight to opening the emails. Help!
