This may be a daft question, but is Gransnet for UK residents only? I sometimes see posts added in the middle of the night and wondered whether they’re from people abroad, poor sleepers or night workers? Just wondered, that’s all!

There are people who live in France, Spain the USA and New Zealand. I am not sure about Australia, India or Asia.

Thanks everyone - that’s great. A truly international forum. Best wishes to everyone around the globe (even though GN is not in every country).

I imagine it would be blocked in China and North Korea? grin

I live in Germany, and always mention that in my posts when it's relevant as I don't expect people to remember that.

There is/was an ongoing thread, though for insomniacs ("Can't sleep") which would explain some night-time traffic.

Some of us live in Italy too.
