How do we know if we re on a banned list banned for what and for how long ???

Lara has a thread about troll hunting and thread deletions, so I assume that anything that has vanished contained a post (or several) about dodgy posters.

I was just going to open yet another thread and it's gone.

Is someone at GNQ rather trigger happy?
Could we have an explanation please?

Bluebelle If you are banned you will have recived a PM to tell you so. As you seem to be able to post, you must be OK.

Callistemon not the same problem with posting as you but, from when I hit "post" it seems to be taking ages for the post to actually upload.
As for banned list..... No idea.

Callistemon ?

Does it matter which sort of device you use Callistemon? I use a laptop and I have to press 'Ctrl' and the 'Return' key to post, unless I put a picture on, in which case I press 'Send' which does take an age, I assume because it takes longer to load. I'm not good with that other 'T' word, technology.
Am I missing the point?
