How many pairs of knickers do you own? Without looking, have a guess....

I would guess about 40/50, all colour coded in different drawers with matching colour bras and vest tops.

Shall have to go and count them now!

About 25/30 pairs at a guess. Need to replace them really as although they’re in good condition, they are more like grey than white as I do mixed colour washes! Mostly M&S, definitely no cheese-wire thongs, but very traditional comfortable pants. Think i’ll go for pastel colours next time!

Probably around twenty, mostly white M&S or Tesco, also some nude to wear with white linen trousers. I also have some I made myself from old t shirts.

Only on gransnet could I learn how some people have enormous drawers! Mine's only small = 12

A couple of dozen. Mainly nude but a few black and white, although I would prefer them all to be nude because you can't see them under light coloured trousers.

I keep them in little organiser boxes in my drawer, about 30 x 15 x 15cm. One for knickers, one for socks.

About 25 pairs, I have a friend who matches the colour of her bra and pants sets to her clothing !! That’s dedication.

I'm guessing about 30, mostly black, nude, some white and one or two blue pairs. I'll count when I go up tonight.

Far too many! Many white and many black, but also many different coloured ones. When I buy a bra I always buy the matching knickers. I always match my underwear to my clothing and so white trousers require white knickers and black or dark coloured trousers require black or dark coloured knickers.
My knickers divide into sensible comfortable knickers, or fancy lace ones that match a certain bra, but are only worn on high days and holidays.

I’d guess at 60. All styles from thongs to shorts to waist high Sloggies, but mostly high leg. I’ve only a couple of “best” sets, but I have bras in white, black, pink, navy, red, green and cream and I like the colours to match.

As for why so many? Well they’ve just built up over the years and I don’t see any point in getting rid of any - it’s not as though anyone else would want them! They don’t take up much room. All my underwear’s in a long storage box tucked away under the bed, arranged in individual shoeboxes by colour.

About 20, mostly M&S and I do sort them out when they get tatty.Then I recycle them in the fabric recycling bank.

I’m guessing at about 40. A few different styles but mostly flesh coloured big ones. They don’t show through anything, no VPL and are comfy.
I have about 20 pairs that are really past their best that are for holidays. In theory I am supposed to wear a pair then bin it. I can’t really work out why I keep bringing them home!
I always seem to come across washing machines so I think ‘“well no harm putting them in”.

I have about 20 pair of knickers. I know I need to replace some, but am still missing BHS,where I used to purchase them. Some newer ones came from Sainsbury , but so miss BHS for this sort of thing.

Socks, I only wear in the winter months, autumn and spring I use ankle high stocking type things, and - as soon as it gets warmer and I am able to wear skirts and sandals I do not wear anything else on my feet.

However, I have a lot of socks as I do like to match the colour of them to the trousers and jumper I am wearing, so probably about 30 plus pairs.

I only do washing once a week, so never come close to running out of clean knickers and socks.

Well no one asked how many we needed, we were asked to guess how many we had and yes I guessed at 100 and doubt I'm far wrong. They are kept in a cube unit and there's plenty of room. Obviously no one needs a 100 but I'm not chucking them out when there's nothing wrong with them and I do have a regular clear out. I guess the reason I have so many is multiple hospital stays and every time I stock up on new knickers, new nighties and new flannels. Yep got stacks of flannels too.

About 20, I think. Most have seen better days. The last purchase was over 2 years ago for my last visit to New Zealand. Lots of different colours so my washing in summer looks like a line of bunting.

About twenty. Mostly in black or "nude" colour, made by Sloggi. All worn in turn (depending on clothing colours) and all stored neatly in a drawer, in Marie-Kondo's recommended way.
