It’s grim up north.
We only had scrambled eggs on wholemeal toast with smoked salmon?

Ham/lettuce/tomatoe and beetroot on wholemeal bread.

Now Jane you missed that I said 'mashed' not 'smashed' avocado - that makes me very un-posh!

Nowt so fancy here. The remains of the chicken, leek and mushroom pie we had the night before last.

Dh always get his own lunch - creature of habit, much the same every day - so I’m nearly always the one who polishes off leftovers.

Scrambled eggs on toast followed by a banana and cup of coffee.

As a posh southerner we had fish fingers and chips. I have got a nasty attack of migraine today and didn't feel up to the planned sausage casserole. Fish fingers etc, only required me to put them in the air fryer for 10 minutes and they were ready to eat.

I havnt had lunch, have just staggered in from a 5 mile walk. Now resting my poor feet with no energy to get up and make myself something.

Tomato soup and sourdough crumpets. And a cup of tea.

I had toast with some marmalade I’ve just made just to taste it. And a cup of tea of course.

Leek and potato soup and a piece of chicken.

Had a late lunch today of homemade bread with caraway seed, toasted with Wensleydale cheese, and another toast with lemon curd with lots of tea.
Silver lining, hope you have recovered from your long walk and managed to get yourself something nice to eat.

Thankyou May, am still sitting down and my feet still sore but my dh brought me the best cheese and pickle sandwich i think i have ever had.
Have recalculated the walk and it seems i actually did 7 miles not 5 so feeling achy but proud.

Home-made vegetable soup with a slice of buttered whole-grain toast; and an apple.

I've only just finished my lunch, which was a shake consisting of kale, cherries, blackberries, almonds, hazelnuts, flax seeds and chia seeds, whizzed up with almond milk. It filled a tallish tumbler twice, and was surprisingly satisfying

As for dinner, well that'll be another story....

One piece of bread with ham cheese and Branston on toasted in George Forman grill.

Grilled cheese and apple on toast

Corned beef and wholegrain mustard sandwich and a cup of tea.

A slimfast meal replacement bar. I could weep...

M&S sandwich today. Me egg and watercress, DH prawn. Then 1 satsuma and 1 apple, half each, plus a cup of coffee.

Please stop it! Beautiful ham on the most appalling gf bread. Dh had beautiful ham on lovely crusty bread, damn him!
