What's for lunch on this dull Friday?

Kim19. It was the Loch Fyne restaurant at Granton. It's nothing special really. It suits us as you can park and we had a discount voucher. I wouldn't rush there.

Aveline, care to share the name of you restaurant? I'm going to be heading up in that direction next month.

Egg Mayo on low carb bread. Tea is garlic chicken with celeriac.

Sea bass pan fried served with homemade latkes and mixed veg.

It was 2.30 by the time i got back from delivering mums shopping. So quickly buttered two small slices of brown bread with blackcurrant jam, lovely. A salad for tea.

Newquay, I had a very similar lunch. Toast with grated cheese, under the grill till bubbling, topped with pickled beetroot. One of my favourites.
Tonight we are having Leek and Ham Pasta, followed by a tiny bit of left over Anniversary Cake.

It was a quick bite of pepperoni on rye as I had a hairdressers appointment. Tonight is home made breaded fish and chips, cooked in the Ninja, and some fresh garden peas.

Only just had two slices of home made bread with butter. This moving malarkey is not for the feint hearted!

Tonight I can look forward to the last slice of a steak and kidney pie that came from the local butchers shop.

I poached myself an egg on toast and had a Solero for pudding. OH heated up a pie. I’m making a chicken and aubergine parmigiana tonight which I think I’ll serve with couscous.

Early lunch as we have an optician's appointment at 1.45 and have a longish drive to get there.

Veg pate, salad veg and fresh fruit, DH added a slice of cheese.

We had just returned home from a longish walk so something substantial was called for.
I fried mushrooms, added a tin of baked beans, a fried egg and it was delicious. Had some homemade brown bread toasted and a large cuppa.
Normally it's cheese, toast and jam, maybe some cucumber and tomato as well.

Birthday cake! My little grandson is 4 today, so we had Paw Patrol birthday cake.

Just made homemade beef burgers with tomatoe chutney.
Went down a treat.

DH off today so we went out for lunch. It was lovely. A nice table overlooking Granton harbour. Smoked salmon, salmon fillet in lime and chilli butter with samphire, strawberry and walnut ice cream. Lovely. A rare treat.
Back to crispbreads and cheese and fruit tomorrow

A cup of coffee.

Smoked haddock fish cakes, tartare sauce, salad and chips followed by French Apple Tarts with ice cream and a glass of Prosecco at a local bistro with 3 friends to celebrate a friend’s 82nd birthday.
Time for a nap? ?

SAR54 Yrs ago when I was dieting I had 3 Ryvitas with Edam.
Followed by a Mars bar.
I know, I know.

Nothing as I feel nauseous today…..hope I felel better later for a meal friends house.

My go to lunch though is mashed avocado mixed with sweet chilli jam on toast.

Omelette and salad with two tangerines to follow with a glass of squash hubby had a tin of soup & yoghurt.

Paracetamol and a swig of Covonia for me. Stinking cold today!

A very boring cheese sandwich and low fat crisps for me. I've almost nothing in as I'll go shopping tomorrow.
